Why do Powerboat Level 2 prices vary?
Students per instructor
Solent Boat Training publishes a maximum of three students; Commodore publishes 3:1.
A cheaper place does not automatically mean a bigger group. These two schools advertise the same small-group size. A private boat or one-to-one booking is a different comparison.
Season and course format
Solent Boat Training says its fee varies with the season. Private tuition and assessment-only bookings are separate products.
Start with two full days on a shared school boat, then compare dates. A course-wide ‘from’ price may not be the fee for your weekend.
